NYT reports of MASSIVE CYBER TERROR ATTACK breaking the entire internet. While there is no actual proof of that happening, the article does prove that the New York Times knows nothing about technology. A good journalist (heck, a good blogger) needs to try to understand the issues they are covering. The article makes no sense to anyone remotely IT savvy (setting up a cable-modem savvy, not IT Pro savvy).
What we are witnessing is the death of traditional journalism. It isn’t evolving into something else, or adapting to stay relevant – it has fallen down and starting to rot. New journalism may bloom like mushrooms from it’s decaying corpse, but there is no hope for these once reputable bastions of the fourth estate.
… and to make matters worse, even Gizmodo calls them out on this sorry attempt at journalism.
